Faith: Use It or Lose It

Faith isn’t just something you say you have—it’s something you use. And if you’re not using it, you’re losing it. “Faith: Use It or Lose It”.

When life is smooth, it’s easy to talk about faith. But what happens when the pressure comes? When the bills pile up, when the doctor gives a bad report when everything around you screams defeat—do you stand your ground, or do you let fear take over?

Let’s use David as a case study. David was just a teenager, a shepherd boy with no military training, yet he stood before a giant that an entire army was too afraid to face. Goliath wasn’t some imaginary problem—he was real, towering, and armed, just like the challenges you face today. But David didn’t shrink back. He didn’t wait for God to strike Goliath down. He ran toward the battle. He spoke with unshakable confidence. And in the end, he won (1 Samuel 17).

What about you? You have giants, too—fear, setbacks, financial struggles, health challenges. But are you running toward them in faith, or are you standing on the sidelines, hoping they disappear?

Here’s the truth: God will not come down to work your faith for you. He has already given you faith. Romans 12:3 says He has dealt to every believer “the measure of faith.” That means you already have what it takes to win. The problem isn’t that you need more faith—it’s that you’re not using what you already have right.

Let’s consider the case of the woman with the issue of blood. She was sick for twelve years, exhausted every option, and was at the point of no hope. But she didn’t sit at home waiting for a miracle. She moved. She pressed through the crowd, reached out, and touched Jesus. And that’s when her faith produced results.

That’s how faith works. It’s not passive. It’s not about waiting for things to change. Faith is what makes things change.

Most people wait for a sign, a confirmation, something to reassure them before they take a step. But faith doesn’t wait—it moves. It speaks. It stands its ground even when nothing seems to be happening.
So, stop waiting for things to shift before you act. Act in faith, and things will shift. Speak to that situation. Take that bold step. Declare God’s promises over your life and refuse to back down. Faith isn’t a feeling—it’s a choice. It’s a force. It’s the key to a victorious life.

So, what are you doing with your faith today? Use it. Work it. Watch your life transform.
And just so you know, faith is only as powerful as your willingness to activate it. If you don’t put your faith to work, it will remain ineffective in your life.
