Created for the Good Life: Embrace Your Spiritual Heritage

Created for the good life

Have you ever felt like there’s more to life than what you’re currently experiencing? A deep-seated longing for something greater? Perhaps you’ve faced challenges that have left you questioning your faith. The good news is that you’re not alone. Even better, the solution is in you. “Created for the Good Life: Embrace Your Spiritual Heritage”

As believers, we hold an extraordinary inheritance—spiritual privileges that can transform our very existence. Imagine having access to a bank account overflowing with limitless resources, but never realizing it. In Psalm 82:6-7, the Bible attests to this: “I have said, ye are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” God has already given you everything you need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). It’s up to you to step into this inheritance and exercise your authority in Christ Jesus.

Walk in the Spirit

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). To fully grasp and live out your rights as a child of God, you must be guided by the Holy Spirit. This isn’t just about receiving the Holy Spirit; it’s about yielding to His guidance every day.

The Holy Spirit is your constant companion, your Helper, and your Sustainer. He is the one who lifts you up when life knocks you down, who whispers hope into your heart when despair looms, and who leads you into the victory that is your birthright as a child of God.

Our Divine Compass: The Word of God

Your journey doesn’t stop with being led by the Spirit; it also requires a deep connection to God’s Word. “1 Corinthians 2:12 emphasizes this: “We have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit of God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.”

The Bible isn’t just a book; it’s a love letter from God, a divine manual crafted for you to live the victorious life He designed for you. Every time you open it, God is speaking to you, revealing your rights and showing you how to overcome every challenge. The Holy Spirit is there to help you understand these truths, bringing them to life in your heart. Consistently immersing yourself in God’s Word isn’t just a religious duty; it’s the key to unlocking the abundant life God has promised you (Joshua 1:8).

Prayer: Our Effectual Communication

Living out your spiritual inheritance also involves actively engaging in prayer. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Think about the power of God’s Word—the very words that spoke the universe into existence. Now imagine the transformation that can happen when you start speaking God’s Word over your life, over your struggles, and over your dreams.

Prayer is not just talking to God; it’s standing in the authority He has given you, declaring His promises over every situation. James 5:16 tells us, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Christ has already done everything needed for your victory. Now, it’s your turn to take hold of that victory in prayer, consistently claiming what is rightfully yours through the authority of God’s Word.

Walking in Freedom

Jesus brought us out so He could bring us in. We have therefore been called into liberty in Christ. We have been brought out of slavery and brought into freedom. (from the Book; “Your Right in Christ” by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome).

This isn’t just about breaking free from the chains of sin and fear; it’s about stepping into the fullness of life as God’s beloved child. It’s about embracing your identity in Christ and living out the promises He has spoken over you.

For deeper insight, you can explore this in “Your Rights in Christ” by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, available at our bookstore. Always remember—you were created for the good life. Embrace it. Live it. It’s your divine inheritance.
